Janis (Jan) Hoffman grew up on a family farm in South Dakota. I was the second of four children who were blessed to be taught a good work ethic and to value, respect and learn from others. After college I met and married my husband Doug of 48 years. We have been blessed to do life together in the farm cooperative world. We have lived in three states and enjoyed raising a family of four children and six grandchildren. God always provided a solid Bible believing church in every community we lived in that we might grow in our faith and see the hand of God even in the storms.
After Doug’s retirement we were blessed to be asked if Doug would lead Mercy Inc. God was not done with our journey and today we continue to be blessed to love on people around the world. I travel to some countries with Doug, but I am also the prayer warrior, gather gifts, write “thank you’ s” host meals, and help with the fund raisers.
Mercy, Inc. (“Mercy”) is a 501(c) (3) organization that has been established to present the Gospel message around the world by meeting humanitarian needs. Examples of needs would include, but not limited to, education, aid to orphans and widows, literacy, medical assistance, agricultural projects, disaster relief, clean water, meeting hunger needs, micro enterprises, and anti-exploitations.
